Class Overview

This is a safe and relaxed environment within which you can both learn and continue to practice the principles of Pilates including relaxation, concentration, alignment, breathing, centring, coordination, flowing movement and stamina. Here you can build an understanding of how your body moves under instruction, and explore the concept of the mind and body connection.

Once you have a good understanding of the fundamentals, and provided you can move comfortably through a fundamental level class, you can progress to a more intermediate class. Within an intermediate level class we still include the fundamentals of Pilates but add further challenge to coordination and flow of movement increasing the demands on not only the mind body connection, but also increasing the load to the muscles to challenge the body’s stamina.

An advanced class is ideal for those looking to broaden their understanding of all of the fundamental Pilates principles and take the body through all ranges of movement, with increased load and pace to challenge strength and stamina, building an absolute understanding of our body’s in movement.

This is a comfortable class for those who wish to focus on the fundamentals of pilates whilst having the piece of mind the challenges will be safe ones . A class for those needing to respect any limitations in their bodies whilst learning to move functionally and and enjoy mobilising their bodies.

Pilates on the reformer is the fastest place to build strength and flexibility. It teaches you about your body quickly as you benefit from the extra resistance or feedback of the springs, moving carriage, football or straps of the Reformer provide you. Practising the reformer alongside a mat class will greatly improve your understanding of your body and the mathwork.

mat classes (maximum 6 clients) - courses range from 5 to 8 weeks and are £75 - £120 respectively
Private lessons - one to one tuition, £60

Terms and conditions
Unable to attend?: To help us offer as much flexibility as possible within your course we use an online platform called ClassSwap. If you are unable to get to a class, please cancel it on ClassSwap at least 12 hours before the class is due to start. You will be issued with a credit to use on a future available slot within that course.
Cancellations: Studio and Private lessons require at least a 24 hour cancellation period, otherwise the full fee will be charged.
What to wear: Pilates is usually practiced in clean socks or bare feet. Comfortable non-baggy clothes are ideal so your posture and alignment can be easily observed. Jeans are not suitable.
Please take personal responsibility for valuables whilst attending the studio.
