LYNDA TRENT-LANDER

Lynda fell in love with Pilates about 20 years ago, and attended classes for 10 years before training with Body Control Pilates in 2010 and over the years qualified in all small equipment and specialist populations including :- Pilates for sport and performance, bone health, lower back pain and older adults. She continually trains to deepen her knowledge of functional anatomy and biomechanics, and with this in mind has trained in an eclectic mix of relevant disciplines. She is also a qualified Reformer pilates teacher. 'It's important to me to take all my depth of knowledge and make it accessible to all clients whilst having empathy for our individual limitations.' As a highly experienced mat and equipment teacher she is also a Supervising Teacher for Body Control Pilates meaning she has the pleasure of helping student teachers qualify.

 

JO HOSEFORD

Jo came to Pilates after the birth of her second son left her with a Diastasis. It wasn't long before she was hooked and booking on to a teacher training course. Jo Qualified with BCP and started teaching mat classes to all levels. Jo has a clear message to her clients, all class are inclusive and fun is essential! She ensures clients feel welcome and ensures that any movement restrictions clients may have do not get in the way of a good workout. Jos biggest pleasure in teaching is seeing the progress clients make and how these can enrich day to day lives, even if the wish is to just put socks on without falling over! Jo loves a learning opportunity and is osteopenia/osteoporosis back care, pre & post natal, reformer & springboard qualified. She also holds certificates in Older Person designed classes. She has attended specific courses for golfers & runners and is working towards her level 4 qualification.

 

Stewart Tompkins

 

Hazel

Hazel has been teaching within the fitness industry for over 30 years, originally as a freelance aerobics Instructor teaching a wide variety of classes. She first took an interest in Pilates after an injury incurred whilst teaching a high impact aerobics class. Hazel fell in love with Pilates and the whole concept of it. Her interest in Pilates grew and continues to do so. She is a qualified Body Control Pilates teacher. Hazel took a further interest in rehabilitation and wanted to help people with specific problems and injuries. She worked at the Anglo European Chiropractic Clinic in the rehabilitation gym where she worked with neck and back patients and sports related injuries, all of which complimented her previous training and Pilates teaching. Hazel believes Pilates is a great form of exercise for everybody providing benefits for all individuals

 

Emma

Movement & exercise have always been a huge part of Emma’s life, mainly through dance and then yoga, before discovering the benefits of Pilates! After having a family, Emma decided to make the change to a career in movement. Inspired by her mother (a Pilates teacher for over 20 years), Emma chose to train with Body Control Pilates. Emma has been a student of Forest Pilates, a big part of her teacher training was at the studio with Lynda. She is now excited to share what she loves about Pilates with clients - the joy of movement and feeling good!
